Xavier English is a Multi-instrumentalist, Composer, and Teacher.
Xavier regularly performs as a Guitarist/accompanist across Southern California in all genres from Jazz to Hardcore. He has performed at venues and establishments such as Union on Yale, The Back Abbey, 1720, The Che Cafe, Haven City Market, the dA Center for the Arts, and many others.
Xavier has scored films for students from Chapman University and the DeColores children’s puppet show. Xavier has also received mentorship from the composer Timothy Williams (Get Out, Pearl, Guardians of the Galaxy, etc) in all things film composition.
Xavier has been teaching Piano, Drums, Guitar, Bass guitar, and Voice in all styles for over 4 years in the classroom and in private lessons. He currently studies jazz guitar under Dr. Seth Greenberg. Xavier is also currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Jazz guitar Performance with aspirations to gain a master’s in Film Composition and a Doctorate in Contemporary Composition. Xavier’s work as a performer, teacher, and composer has earned him the 2025 Sounds of Pomona Grant for young musicians. As a nominee for the Jesse Rodelas Memorial Scholarship at Mt. San Antonio College, Xavier has shown proficiency in music both in theory and performance in and out of the classroom.
